Children’s Miracle Networks celebrates its champions
With so many worthy charities vying for attention, how could we stand out?
Children’s Hospital Week (CHW) is an incredible initiative by the Children’s Miracle Network. Over the course of seven days, they raise enough funds to care for more than 10 million kids each year. But despite the incredible impact they were making, the program suffered from low recognition. We wanted to find an effective way to call attention to CHW, and the amazing healthcare professionals across Canada that help our most vulnerable children.
Each year, The Children’s Miracle Network identifies 12 remarkable patients from across the country to serve as their ambassadors, or “Champions.” These kids were our inspiration. We wanted to celebrate their bravery, and the hard work of the hospitals that were caring for them. When we invited them to participate, they jumped at the chance.
We recorded a cover of the iconic song “Stand by me,” with each child lending their unique voice. The powerful video became a rallying cry for the children and families of the Children’s Miracle Network, reminding them that they’re not alone in their journey, and inviting Canadians to stand by them by making a donation.
