Janes Family Foods - Flat Jacks

Janes Family Foods came to FUSE to help launch Flat Jacks, a new product aimed at a youth audience (and by extension, the primary shopper). To address this retail challenge and spread the word about a new product, we created a flat chicken character named Flat Jack.

To build awareness, a series of videos and “Flat Jack” sightings were created to drive consumers in-store to find the product – and participate in a national “Everyone’s a Winner” pin-in-pack promotion.

The digital teaser campaign of six YouTube videos entitled Gone With The Wind, Porch Surprise, Flattest in the Coop, Up Up & Away, Safe & Skinny and Toaster Chicken, featured Flat Jack’s peculiar flat physical attributes and included the tag “Jack Be Quick,” to highlight the speedy snack consumer benefit. The campaign also included social media integration via Facebook and Twitter to help drive awareness of the promotion and announce the latest Flat Jack sightings.

The “Everyone’s a Winner” contest invited shoppers to purchase FlatJacks for a chance to win 1 of 3 $10,000 cash prizes and thousands of additional flat-themed prizes, including Apple Macbooks, iPods, Apple gift cards and music downloads at www.flatjacks.ca.
