Toronto, ON. FUSE Marketing Group, the Toronto-based, privately held brand activation agency that offers a full range of marketing, digital, social media, promotion, direct and experiential services -- is delighted to announce three hires, which expand on its reimagine results mandate and its evolution to a broader-based 360 degree creative direction. Ruz Godrej, digital account director, Jeremy Burgin, senior art director and Graeme Paterson, account coordinator come with vast experience in digital, international markets and 360 degree creative thinking, all of which complement the agency’s new culture initiated by recent hire, Patrick Weir, as senior vice-president, creative director. “We are excited about bringing these three exceptional talents to the FUSE team, each of whom bring fresh insight into the digital space,” said Stephen Brown, president, FUSE Marketing Group. “These hires are rooted in our results-driven brand and add to our strengths with their collective experience.”
Global perspective and 360 degree vision
Ruz Godrej has 6 years of experience consulting across international markets in digital advertising, marketing and communications for WPP Group companies such as OgilvyOne Worldwide and HDS in Mumbai. Through his global experience, he has focused his expertise on developing and executing digital marketing solutions across various industries for clients such as Unilever, Diageo (Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Captain Morgan, Vat69), Yahoo, Mitsubishi Motors, Prudential Life Insurance and Novartis. At FUSE, he will be an account director and focusing his energy on Interac, Kruger (Cashmere and Scotties), and GE utilizing his experience in the digital arena - web, social, and mobile - to drive digital efficiency across the businesses he leads. Outside of his career in advertising, he is an avid traveler, rookie Maple Leafs fan, animal lover and Formula 1 enthusiast.
During his 15-year career, Jeremy Burgin has created the identity for the Toronto Convention Centre, appeared in print as a photographer, received international awards, twice redesigned (sears.ca), the largest Canadian transactional website, and been recognized among the top art directors in the country. Previously at DraftFCB, MacLaren MRM and Proximity BBDO, he joins FUSE as senior art director applying his media-agnostic approach across their full roster of clients. In his spare time Jeremy competes in amateur backyard Mixed Martial Arts tournaments across the GTA and Southern Ontario.
A recent graduate of Humber College’s Marketing Management post-graduate program, Graeme Paterson joins FUSE as an account coordinator, where he will be working with a number of clients including Canadian Tire, Charton Hobbs, and the True Patriot Love Foundation. Previously, Graeme worked for more than 4 years in the field of athlete representation as an agent to professional baseball players, Olympic athletes, and sports broadcasters.
Gearing up for the next decade
FUSE recently celebrated its tenth anniversary with a series of notable initiatives, which included a renewed commitment to measurable results, a new logo, new positioning statement -- Reimagine Results -- and a refreshed website. Long-standing clients, Canadian Tire, CIBC and Interac have over the course of FUSE’s history, been joined by brands such as GE, President’s Choice Financial and Janes Foods, to name just a few. Recent wins include the Pan Am Games, Kruger Products LP and Oxford Properties. FUSE’s growth is also reflected in its gross billings for 2012 surpassing $15 million. The agency’s hard work in 2012 also meant Q4 earnings were 70 per cent higher than the previous year. With continued growth in mind for 2013, FUSE projects adding an additional 30 per cent to overall agency revenues by the fiscal close on December 31, 2013. The continuing injection of new talent and an expanded range of creative solutions reflects a major shift in the agency’s focus in preparation for the next evolution of its brand, and is the final phase of the Reimagine Results initiative.

This year marks Stephen's 22nd year in marketing. Over the years, he's launched some amazing brands, worked with the best marketing minds, helped start up a roster of dynamic marketing agencies and watched the business transform from traditional to digital. What's next?
Lots of "new" at FUSE this past year. And while "new" doesn't always represent good, in this case, Stephen Brown is very confident it does.
