FUSE Marketing Group and CIBC host Facebook LIVE event
Broadcast from CIBC Live Labs for CIBC Hello Home™ app launch with TV host Scott McGillivray
Toronto, ON. FUSE Marketing Group (www.fusemg.com) has partnered with longstanding client, CIBC to develop and host a Facebook LIVE session (https://www.facebook.com/CIBC) on May 31, 2016 at 7 pm ET from Toronto’s MaRS Discovery District.
A first for CIBC, the event is designed to reach real time audiences leveraging LIVE streaming platforms as a way to reveal, showcase and engage in conversations with Canadians. Moderated by Scott McGillivray, host of HGTV’s Income Property, the event will broadcast live from the corporate innovation space, CIBC Live Labs and will introduce new and existing clients to CIBC’s Hello Home™ app, the first stand-alone mortgage app available in Canada. The app allows customers to complete their entire mortgage application digitally without stepping into a banking centre and will be showcased in an interactive setting designed to highlight its features, while engaging the audience and answering questions. Building on CIBC’s commitment to client-focused innovation, Facebook LIVE is a tool to share stories and break news in a relevant way, allowing CIBC to capture its key, “time-pressed and mobile-first” client.
“CIBC is at the forefront of mobile-driven innovations that make a difference to our clients, and we will continue to develop products and services that meet our clients’ changing needs and growing digital expectations,” explained Ayaz Pira, vice president, digital channels, CIBC.
“There is a significant push by Canadian financial institutions to innovate, and our long standing client CIBC has demonstrated this with numerous firsts of late,” commented Stephen Brown, president, FUSE Marketing Group. “Using Facebook LIVE is another example of CIBC’s innovative approach: a new way for brands to connect with their audience, in a more current and dynamic forum,” added Mr. Brown.
“FUSE specializes in digital content strategy, creative, and delivery,” continued Laurie Dillon-Schalk, VP strategy & insights, FUSE Marketing Group. “In today’s market, content is increasingly real time or near-time. Having a nimble team who understands both platform and live filming is a considerable asset in creating today’s live content. Facebook LIVE offers brands a way to reach new, mobile-engaged audiences in a new way, creating a fantastic bridge between the innovators and the audiences who interact with them. With Facebook’s tremendous reach in Canada, it made sense to explore this platform.”
