FUSE Shifts deeper in digital content
FUSE Marketing Group taps top brass from global digital storytelling firm to lead digital content.
Toronto, ON. FUSE Marketing Group (www.fusemg.com) -- the Toronto-based, privately held integrated agency that offers a full range of marketing, digital, XM, CRM, and digital content -- is doubling down on their efforts in the emerging world of digital content by adding two to their executive team.
Previously working at global digital content agency Evidently, veteran agency strategist, Laurie Dillon-Schalk and senior digital brand-builder, Adam Bleau join the team at FUSE to head up their digital content division.
“Last year was a banner year for FUSE, with a tremendous growth surge, key hires and internal promotions,” explained Stephen Brown, president, FUSE Marketing Group. “We also noted a need among our clients to delve deeper into data science, brand storytelling and offer greater breadth in digital content. Our next chapter started with key hires in creative technology and experiential and we decided to continue by kickstarting 2016 by hiring two industry powerhouses in Laurie and Adam, who will catapult our strategic and digital offerings for clients.”
“How brands tell their stories has changed almost as dramatically as the agencies who deliver them,” said Ms. Dillon-Schalk. “Ad agencies have a long history of packing a story into 30 second spots. Now, consumers are visiting social networks with more regularity, so episodic storytelling becomes very realistic. There is a tremendous gap today between understanding how social platforms work, how they continuously evolve, and how to target audiences together with what kind of informal, personable creative will be engaging enough to audiences.”
As for why members of Evidently moved to FUSE, Mr. Bleau responds, “FUSE is impressive. FUSE has made investments in not just a creative technologist and a tech lab, but into creating a digital innovative tech culture within the company. We are excited with our new home and look forward to showcasing work in the months to come.”
